Why are African Americans Leaving Baseball?

There was a great article about the erosion of African American players in baseball. Why are blacks not playing in the major leagues as they once did? If baseball is as American as apple pie, then why are African Americans not entering this sport as they once did? Major League Baseball recently held it’s Civil Rights Game in Memphis,Tennessee. What will come of the discussions that were held during the week leading up to the game? There was another great article on Diversity in baseball. I hope the Civil Rights Game will spark more diversity in Major League Baseball.
